We hope each of you are staying healthy and doing your part in limiting contact with others. This is a very challenging time in our world and it’s important we stay connected with our loved ones. The health and safety of our membership, staff and our community are of the utmost importance to us.
Earlier this week, a ‘Shelter in Place’ announcement was issued from Dallas County to protect the health and well-being of the metroplex and included the closure of all ‘non essential’ businesses. This Order is to be effective through April 3rd and could easily be extended if necessary. In an effort to prevent the further spread of the Novid-19 virus, the CDC recommends frequent hand washing and most importantly social distancing. It is important that we are all knowledgeable of what this means, so we can support and protect ourselves, our families, and our community. While the fields were scheduled to open on April 1st with practice to begin on April 11th, given the recent developments, we have elected to defer the opening of the club for 14 days.
While this has an impact on the upcoming Polo Season, we urge everyone to sit tight as we are carefully monitoring this situation as it evolves. We will be sending an update weekly to our Teams, Sponsors and Players to keep everyone abreast of new developments and how it affects Willow Bend and the polo community.
We will keep you posted with any developments. Let’s all do our part in “flattening the curve” of infection and reduce our social interactions.
Stay Safe!
